Designer Advocate (AI)

Location: Must be based at one of Figma's US hubs in San Francisco, CA, or New York, NY, United States. The role includes travel of up to 25% and in-person onboarding.

Annual base salary: $153,000–$317,000 USD.

What you will do

• Collaborate with Sales and Customer Experience teams to help customers apply Figma to real product workflows.
• Develop written, visual, and video resources covering the design process from early exploration to production-ready systems.
• Build relationships within the Figma community and nurture user-driven initiatives.
• Present practical insights at industry meetups, conferences, and community events.
• Monitor community feedback, sentiment, and emerging design trends, advocating for user-informed product improvements.

Requirements

• Hands-on expertise in Figma, modern product and visual design workflows, and design systems.
• Strong understanding of how design translates into development and experience collaborating with engineers.
• Experience with evolving workflows and technologies, including design systems, tokens, AI-assisted design, and prototyping.
• Clear communication skills, public speaking ability, and confidence engaging design audiences.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
