Head of Infrastructure (Kubernetes)

What you will do

• Design and operate high-load distributed infrastructure across bare-metal and cloud-based Kubernetes environments.
• Own platform reliability, performance, resilience, security, monitoring, and capacity.
• Troubleshoot production issues across networking, Kubernetes, messaging systems, databases, and data infrastructure.
• Build infrastructure roadmaps covering migrations, high availability, disaster recovery, failover, security, and CI/CD.
• Lead infrastructure projects, hiring, prioritization, on-call processes, and collaboration with Engineering and Product/Project Management.
• Develop technical leads and manage infrastructure costs and capacity.

Requirements

• Principal/Staff+ hands-on experience with high-load systems, messaging queues, proxies, databases, networking, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience troubleshooting complex production issues and leading incident resolution.
• Experience with both bare-metal and cloud infrastructure and the ability to design distributed systems.
• 5+ years as a Head or Team Lead in a product company.
• Proven ownership of people management, prioritization, hiring, delivery, and technical-lead development.
• Strong systems thinking and the ability to define and drive infrastructure direction independently.
