CNC Machinist III (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in New Port Richey, Florida, United States. Second shift, Monday through Friday, 2:45 PM–11:15 PM; frequent overtime.

What you will do

• Set up and operate complex multi-axis CNC mills and lathes.
• Select cutting tools, holding fixtures, and machining methods for castings, forgings, and other parts.
• Read engineering drawings, blueprints, and detailed machining sketches.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using precision gauges and automated CMMs.
• Carry out secondary operations such as drilling, stamping, and deburring.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, a completed trade school apprenticeship, or 10 years of CNC setup experience.
• Strong shop mathematics, including algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
• Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. lawful permanent resident, protected person, or hold U.S. Government export authorization.
• Access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services requires the applicable U.S. authorization.

Nice to have

• Experience running up to nine-axis machining equipment.
• Experience interpreting tool and part drawings, geometric tolerancing, and manually calculated dimensions.
• Experience reading and modifying CNC programs to address tool wear and minor program issues.
