CNC Machinist II (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in New Port Richey, Florida, United States. First shift, Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM, with frequent overtime. Access to export-controlled commodities and technical data requires U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization.

What you will do

• Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes, selecting tools, fixtures, and machining methods.
• Read CNC programs, adjust offsets, correct minor program issues, replace worn tooling, and deburr parts.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using precision gauges, automated CMMs, blueprints, and engineering drawings.
• Complete production and quality documentation, including scorecards, routers, hazard recognitions, and red tags.
• Meet established production standards, perform secondary machining operations, and improve quality and productivity.
• Assist with training co-workers.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or trade school apprenticeship program.
• At least 4 years of CNC setup experience.
• Fluent blueprint reading skills or willingness to complete blueprint training onsite.
• Ability to work overtime as required.
• Ability to bend, lift, and stand for extended periods; frequent lifting of up to 20 lbs. and occasional lifting of up to 35 lbs.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of three-axis or higher machining.
• Previous CNC machining experience in aerospace manufacturing.
• Knowledge of quality measures, AQL levels, and inspection methods.
