Lead AI Engineer (AI)

Location: Madrid, Spain; minimum 3 days per week on-site

What you will do

• Drive company-wide AI transformation across Operations, Creative, Support, and other business domains.
• Audit manual workflows with stakeholders, identify automation opportunities, and translate operational needs into AI product features.
• Design, code, and deploy production AI systems, including LLM applications, agentic workflows, RAG systems, and custom chatbots.
• Build and lead a small AI engineering team while contributing directly to the codebase and setting engineering standards.
• Own internal AI tools from discovery and rapid prototyping through production deployment and adoption by non-technical teams.

Requirements

• Strong Python development and software engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience shipping AI systems to production, including LLM frameworks such as LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or agentic automation.
• Experience with APIs, microservices, databases, and the AWS ecosystem.
• Ability to understand manual operational processes and design practical AI solutions that reduce manual work.
• Strong communication, empathy, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills.
