Manufacturing Engineering Intern (Aerospace & Defense)

Location: Hagerstown, Maryland, United States; onsite laboratory or workshop work may be required

What you will do

• Contribute to manufacturing and technical engineering projects and complete assigned tasks.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, reports, and records.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret technical data to support engineering decisions.
• Attend planning meetings and collaborate with cross-functional project teams.
• Perform hands-on technical assignments and support process improvements and best practices.
• Participate in mentoring sessions and technical workshops.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
• Currently enrolled in a university, college, or technical school pursuing Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical degree.
• Must be a sophomore, junior, or senior with at least six months remaining until graduation after the internship ends.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and collaboration skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Ability to work at a computer for extended periods, handle technical equipment, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.

Nice to have

• Previous technical or engineering internship or work experience.
• Familiarity with the aerospace and defense industry.
• Basic knowledge of CAD or MATLAB.
• Microsoft Access skills.
