Director, Global Project Management Office (Medical Device, Diagnostics)

Location: On-site in Chaska, Minnesota, United States, with approximately 20% domestic and international travel. A remote work arrangement may be available for eligible employees.

Annual salary: $200,000–$220,000, plus bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Recruit, lead, mentor, and develop Project Managers and project teams.
• Build and scale the Global Operations Project and Portfolio Management Office.
• Define and embed project and program management standards, tools, methodologies, and standard work.
• Establish and drive project and portfolio KPIs using hirify.global Business System tools.
• Oversee regional and global technical and non-technical projects and programs, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and on budget.
• Prepare progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations for project teams, sponsors, steering teams, and executives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific or engineering field with preference for 14+ years of Project Management experience; alternatively, a master’s degree with 12+ years or a doctoral degree with 9+ years.
• Significant experience in a regulated diagnostic or medical device environment, including manufacturing, R&D, or engineering.
• Strong experience leading large, complex operations or R&D projects, programs, and teams.
• Experience leading design changes and technology transfer programs in a medical device or diagnostics regulatory environment.
• Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
• Preference for at least 10 years of people management experience, including managing, mentoring, and developing Project Managers.

Nice to have

• Lean or Six Sigma experience, Kaizen leadership, and structured problem-solving capability.
• Proficiency with Power BI, Smartsheet, Miro, Excel, and project management software.
