Head of English Language Print Supply Chain (Publishing)

Location: London Wall, London; the role may also be performed in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Salary: €100,400–€167,300 base pay when performed in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

What you will do

• Lead the English-language books supply chain organization across manufacturing, fulfilment, distribution, and regional optimization.
• Set long-term strategy for network planning, capacity and resource planning, supply-demand balancing, and operational execution.
• Oversee print manufacturing, supplier production performance, quality governance, scheduling, prioritization, and cost optimization.
• Own order fulfilment, warehousing, logistics coordination, delivery performance, service levels, and customer escalations.
• Manage supplier relationships, operational risks, business continuity, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead a multi-geography organization with five direct reports and additional indirect or functional reports.

Requirements

• Leadership experience managing teams, driving change, and motivating staff across multiple geographies.
• Experience leading print or publishing supply chain operations, including manufacturing, demand forecasting, inventory, fulfilment, distribution, and supplier performance.
• Strong strategic and financial acumen, including budgeting, cost-benefit assessment, and operational execution.
• Advanced MS Office skills and experience with operational analytics and dashboards, including exposure to AI-powered analytics.
• Excellent influencing, negotiation, stakeholder management, and cross-cultural collaboration skills in matrix organizations.
• Willingness and ability to travel regionally and work across multiple sites.

• Master's degree in Logistics or Economics.
• Lean Six Sigma certification.
• Publishing industry experience and knowledge of hirify.global fulfilment systems and logistics processes.
• Experience managing complex workflows in a matrix organization.
