TL;DR
Sr. OPEX Engineer (Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement): Driving manufacturing and support-function performance improvements through GPS deployment, Lean principles, value stream management, and data-driven analysis with an accent on safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people performance. Focus on facilitating Kaizen and structured problem-solving activities, improving OEE and productivity measurement systems, and ensuring compliance with FDA, cGMP, and quality requirements.
Location: Marion, North Carolina, United States. Applicants must be authorized to work for a U.S. employer; visa sponsorship is not available.
Salary: $112,000–$154,000 annually.

What you will do
- Lead and support deployment of the Growth & Performance System across manufacturing and support functions.
- Facilitate and coach teams in Lean, Kaizen, LDMS, structured problem solving, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Design and improve manufacturing and business processes using TLA, Value Stream Mapping, and data-driven analysis.
- Drive waste reduction, OEE improvement, productivity improvement, value improvement projects, and site transformation initiatives.
- Develop operational KPI reporting and governance, improve OEE and productivity measurement systems, and conduct process, labor, and capacity analyses.
- Support EHS initiatives, safe work practices, 6S workplace organization, and compliance with FDA and GMP requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, operational excellence, continuous improvement, or related fields.
- Experience leading Kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience with GPS, LDMS, Value Stream Management, VSM, TLA, OEE improvement, and structured problem solving.
- Strong project management, facilitation, cross-functional leadership, and change-management skills.
- Working knowledge of cGMP, FDA, and regulatory requirements.
