Digital Product Owner – Chromatography Data Systems (CDS)

Location: Beerse, Antwerp, Belgium or Cork, Ireland

Base pay: €79,800–€137,770 annually, plus an annual bonus or sales commissions depending on the location and pay grade.

What you will do

• Set the product direction and business vision for Empower, OpenLab CDS, and Chromeleon across development laboratories.
• Define future-state CDS solutions and translate business strategy into global system and architecture roadmaps.
• Own the end-to-end chromatography data system landscape, including integrations with adjacent laboratory systems.
• Represent business requirements during upgrades, validations, audits, and regulatory inspections while coordinating SOP lifecycle management.
• Align stakeholders, scientific experts, architects, system integrators, and vendors to prioritize enhancements and drive adoption.
• Resolve system and data issues, manage continuous improvement, and realize measurable business value from CDS solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Pharma, or a related science or engineering discipline.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or related industries.
• Strong understanding of laboratory systems supporting pharmaceutical process development and clinical manufacturing.
• Knowledge of GMP regulations; understanding of GAMP and SDLC requirements is preferred.
• Experience with data lifecycle management and FAIR data principles, plus strong organizational, project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Fluency in English is required. Limited travel of less than 10% is expected.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with Empower, OpenLab CDS, or Chromeleon.
• Experience with digital transformation projects and cross-functional leadership.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies.
