TL;DR
HR Partner Team Lead, Germany and Austria – FTC ~12 months (HR Business Partnering): Leading HR business partnering services for approximately 3,700 employees across Germany and Austria with an accent on team leadership, employment-law compliance, and strategic people delivery. Focus on coaching a 25-person HR team, engaging with Works Councils, driving organizational transformation, and delivering acquisition integration and process improvements.

What you will do

  • Lead approximately 25 HR Business Partners and HR Specialists supporting around 3,700 employees across Germany and Austria.
  • Deliver consistent HR business partnering across multiple legal entities and locations while addressing local requirements.
  • Coach HR professionals and advise business leaders on talent pipelines, leadership development, succession planning, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Lead engagement, consultations, and negotiations with Works Councils and employee representative bodies.
  • Drive HR policy, process, technology, harmonization, restructuring, and operating-model improvements.
  • Own local M&A due diligence, integration activities, transformation initiatives, and escalations of HR operational issues.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Substantial progressive HR experience, including senior HR Business Partner, HR Lead, or HR Director leadership responsibility.
  • Strong expertise in organizational development, process effectiveness, project management, change management, coaching, and complex decision-making.
  • Excellent knowledge of German and Austrian employment legislation, works agreements, collective bargaining agreements, and local labour regulations.
  • Fluent German and English, written and spoken, are required.
  • Strong HRIS and Microsoft Office skills, with the ability to use data and AI to inform decisions and deliver impact.

Nice to have

  • Experience with acquisitions, from due diligence through integration.
