Staff Product Designer (AI)

Location: Remote, United States-based candidates required

Target salary: $200,000–$230,000 USD annually plus equity. Canada-based compensation varies by province.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end product design for a core B2B SaaS platform, from discovery and research through launch and iteration.
• Define scalable data relationships, permission models, integration surfaces, workflows, and enterprise interaction patterns.
• Lead greenfield initiatives by framing problems, writing design briefs, shaping roadmap direction, and sequencing work for rapid learning.
• Conduct user research, including participant recruitment, interviews, synthesis, and translating ambiguous needs into product direction.
• Establish reusable design-system foundations and raise design quality through critique, mentoring, and coaching.
• Apply AI-enabled design and prototyping approaches and align Product, Engineering, GTM, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• 10+ years of product design experience, including meaningful Staff or Principal-level experience and ownership of complete product domains.
• Experience designing platforms or core product areas in complex B2B or enterprise SaaS environments, including data models, permissions, integrations, and reusable patterns.
• Experience shipping net-new products and features, including genuine 0-to-1 initiatives.
• Deep end-to-end user research experience and strong systems-thinking, product judgment, problem-solving, communication, and influencing skills.
• Experience designing AI-powered or agentic product experiences.
• Must be based in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience establishing design-system patterns and using AI tools such as Claude or Cursor for working prototypes.
• Exposure to compliance, data integrity, workflow-intensive products, startup environments, nonprofits, grant management, or the social-impact sector.
• Experience mentoring or coaching other designers.
