Senior Electro Mechanical Technician

Location: Centurion, South Africa; onsite

What you will do

• Test, fault-find, adjust, repair, and document failures in electronic units, submodules, and circuitry up to component level.
• Assemble and integrate LRUs and SRUs in accordance with documented processes, schematics, blueprints, and engineering instructions.
• Update ERP shop orders, create MRBs for failures or blockers, and provide technical feedback for corrective actions.
• Install, maintain, calibrate, and safely use electronic test equipment, instrumentation, tools, and special jigs.
• Maintain materials, consumables, floor stock, shelf life, and compliance with 5S, 6S, ESD, FOD, health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Support the manager by contributing to production capability, resource training, quality, performance, cost, and on-time delivery goals.

Requirements

• National Diploma, BTech in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
• 10 years of related practical experience in an agile environment.
• Ability to read electronic circuit diagrams, blueprints, schematics, and engineering instructions and record test results.
• Practical knowledge of analogue and digital design, systematic circuitry analysis, troubleshooting, and fault-finding.
• Ability to operate test equipment and instrumentation for testing SRUs and LRUs, and to apply configuration processes.
• Knowledge of IPC standards, ERP systems, 6S, FOD, and digital and analogue applications, together with strong communication and decision-making skills.
