Technical Project Lead - Frederick, MD

Location: Frederick, Maryland, USA; onsite work required as needed

Total compensation: $112,000–$150,000 per year

What you will do

• Coordinate production integration, recovery planning, material readiness, and deployment activities at the Frederick facility.
• Plan and manage software, firmware, and security upgrades for operational customer systems.
• Maintain deployment schedules, readiness dashboards, escalation reports, and completion metrics.
• Coordinate engineering, manufacturing, logistics, procurement, quality, field services, operations, and customer stakeholders.
• Manage release documentation, training materials, deployment packages, implementation plans, and post-installation verification.
• Prepare project status reports, program metrics, risk assessments, and executive review materials.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, technical management, or a related discipline; equivalent experience may be considered.
• At least 5 years of experience leading cross-functional engineering, production, systems integration, deployment, or technical program activities.
• Experience with production, manufacturing, systems integration, deployment, sustainment, software releases, system upgrades, or cybersecurity remediation.
• Understanding of product lifecycle management, deployment planning, configuration control, and change control processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office Suite, and project tracking tools.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident able to obtain an interim or final suitability determination and pass the required background investigation.

Nice to have

• Experience with FAA, DoD, telecommunications, or other mission-critical systems, including FAA National Airspace System programs.
• Familiarity with software release management, systems engineering, configuration management, Jira, and geographically dispersed deployment teams.
