Location: San Jose, California, United States; hybrid work combining office, remote, and field time throughout the service delivery area.
Compensation: $26.00–$27.00 per hour.

What you will do
- Build long-term relationships with local employers and identify suitable employment opportunities for refugee clients.
- Assess clients, provide job-readiness orientation, and guide them through hiring processes.
- Monitor job-search activity, job performance, wages, and employer and employee satisfaction.
- Support clients and employers with post-placement issues and continuing employment needs.
- Document client participation and progress while meeting grant, donor, and program reporting requirements.
- Represent employment services at job fairs and collaborate with Economic Empowerment staff and community partners.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in social work or a related field, or comparable relevant work experience.
- At least 2 years of direct-service experience with underserved communities in a human services, nonprofit, or social services setting.
- Strong written and verbal communication, organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
- Strong computer skills, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle with current insurance, and ability to travel regularly throughout the service delivery area.
- Availability to provide services outside traditional working hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.
Nice to have
- Experience working with refugee populations.
- Familiarity with San Jose employers and vocational training programs.
- Proficiency in Dari, Farsi, Pashto, Spanish, Tigrinya, or Arabic.
