What you will do
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on high-voltage systems, transformers, switchgear, motors, generators, and electrical distribution networks.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex electrical faults to reduce downtime and maintain power plant reliability.
- Inspect equipment and wiring, use testing and diagnostic instruments, and ensure operational integrity.
- Plan and implement departmental maintenance activities and recommend improvements to procedures and equipment reliability.
- Maintain detailed service, inspection, maintenance, and technical records.
- Train, delegate, and review the work of technicians while coordinating with the Controls & Instrumentation team on alarms and operational deviations.
Requirements
- Active Professional Electrical Engineer license from the Philippine Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) is mandatory.
- At least five years of electrical maintenance experience in a power generation facility or heavy industrial environment.
- Advanced knowledge of high-voltage systems, switchgear, transformers, motors, generators, switchyards, protection relays, generator protection circuits, and gas-insulated circuit breakers.
- Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance, equipment inspections, fault diagnosis, electrical troubleshooting, and maintenance planning.
- Experience leading a team of more than five technicians, including training, delegation, and technical output review.
- Ability to work with limited supervision, resolve non-routine technical issues, and maintain strong documentation and communication practices.
