Principal Solution Engineer (Networking)

What you will do

• Manage the design, implementation, and technical artefacts for technology lifecycles in line with engineering standards and guardrails.
• Build repeatable design patterns, components, and technology solutions with a focus on security, scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Lead change control, testing, incident management, troubleshooting, configuration management, and release management.
• Mentor and coach engineers and cross-functional squads while promoting modern engineering practices and a data-driven approach.
• Coordinate external vendors, monitor service-level agreements and turnaround times, and support remediation plans.
• Work with solution architects and engineering teams to improve capabilities, reduce technical debt, and accelerate delivery.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience designing and deploying enterprise-class networks in mid-sized or large organizations.
• At least 3 years of experience in incident management and resolution, software releases, configuration management, and banking operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• Cisco Certified Internetwork Engineer certification in Data Centre, Security, Route/Switch, or an equivalent qualification.
• ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent knowledge of IT service management.
• Knowledge of data networking, network security, unified communications, middleware, problem management, capacity planning, quality control, and automation.
