Lead Simulation Software Developer (C++)

hirify.global develops high-fidelity engineering and training simulations and supports the Eurodrone programme across its development lifecycle.

What you will do

• Lead the Simulation-Specific Components group within the Joint Model Office.
• Coordinate the development, pre-integration, and handover of simulation frameworks, test support systems, services, and third-party components.
• Design software architectures and develop high-fidelity models for aircraft sensors, tactical environments, communications, visualization, and aircraft equipment.
• Implement primarily C++ software components and ensure quality through unit, integration, and system testing.
• Create automation tools, build pipelines, and code-generation solutions.
• Support architects and integration teams with bug investigations, change requests, technical alignment, and JMO meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Extensive software development experience in complex, large-scale systems, including software design and procedural and object-oriented programming.
• Expert-level knowledge of C/C++ and experience with distributed systems and simulation frameworks.
• Experience with unit, integration, and system testing, plus scripting with Bash or Python.
• Knowledge of CMake, software packaging, Qt/QML, Linux, Windows, version control, Atlassian tools, and CI/CD or DevOps tools such as Jenkins.
• Business-fluent English required; German, Spanish, French, and Italian are optional.

Nice to have

• Experience coordinating technical tasks or leading small development groups.
• Familiarity with agile working methods and international collaboration.
