Methods & Tools Software Developer (Aerospace)

Location: Getafe Area, Spain; hybrid working model when possible.

What you will do

• Design, develop, optimize, and maintain software tools for Test Centre Analysis Teams.
• Translate mathematical models from Performance, Handling Qualities, Avionics and Mission, Aerial Delivery, and other specialist groups into functional software.
• Define the future technology stack for analysis tools and migrate the current toolset to the Time Series Analysis Tool Platform for Military (TSASM).
• Act as the technical point of contact between the Ground Station Team and the analysis community in Spain.
• Provide technical support for analysis tools across multiple aerospace programs and engineering areas.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering, with a focus on scientific computing.
• Strong knowledge of MATLAB for scientific applications.
• Advanced Python skills with NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, Matplotlib, and the Jupyter ecosystem.
• Experience with compiled languages, including Fortran 77/90 and C++, or willingness to learn them.
• Git experience; Agile experience with Jira and Confluence.
• Advanced English proficiency and the ability to communicate technical software concepts to non-software engineers.

Nice to have

• Experience with SimPy and Numba.
• Experience with Jenkins and Nexus.
