Director, Technical Program Management - Pickup, Delivery & Returns

Location: Crossman Excellence Building Home Office, Sunnyvale, California, United States

Annual salary: $169,000–$338,000, plus performance-based bonuses and possible stock compensation.

What you will do

• Lead the operating model and portfolio management framework for Pickup, Delivery, and Returns technology portfolios.
• Drive portfolio planning, investment prioritization, roadmap governance, launch readiness, and executive visibility.
• Lead large-scale cross-functional initiatives across fulfillment, logistics, transportation, delivery, returns, and customer experience platforms.
• Manage annual planning, long-range planning, forecasting, budgets, resource planning, and portfolio investment processes.
• Develop business cases, strategic analyses, performance insights, and executive decision frameworks.
• Implement AI-enabled workflows, automation, reporting capabilities, and operational tooling to improve visibility and execution efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field with 7 years of relevant experience, or 9 years of relevant experience without a degree.
• Experience in engineering, engineering program management, technical program management, product management, technology operations, or a related area.
• Experience leading enterprise-scale technology programs in eCommerce, logistics, supply chain, transportation, delivery, fulfillment, or returns.
• Expertise in portfolio governance, operational planning, program execution, organizational transformation, budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and align large, cross-functional, matrixed organizations.
• Strong analytical and operational problem-solving skills, including the ability to manage ambiguity and organizational complexity.

Nice to have

• Project management certification.
• MBA or another advanced degree, especially in strategy, supply chain, finance, or information systems.
• Experience with workflow automation platforms such as Airtable and AI-enabled operational workflows.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility practices.
