Assistant General Manager, Council Oak (Hospitality)

Location: Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood in Hollywood, Florida, United States; onsite restaurant and resort duties.

What you will do

• Direct Council Oak restaurant staff and operations while maintaining guest service, quality, and financial standards.
• Identify business needs and implement solutions to improve customer experience, control costs, and generate revenue.
• Work with the General Manager and Chef on operational controls, menu changes, inventories, budgets, and performance standards.
• Lead training, documentation, procedures, staffing actions, and the use of manual and automated systems, including POS systems.
• Provide VIP guest service during restaurant operations and special casino events, resolving complaints promptly.
• Lead assigned projects and manage the department in the General Manager’s absence, including back-of-house operations when the room chef is absent.

Requirements

• Three years of fine-dining experience, including at least two years in a management role preferred.
• College degree in business or a related field preferred; extensive relevant experience may substitute.
• Experience with financial data, cost-control techniques, budgets, business plans, and operational analysis.
• Project management experience, including writing project plans, measuring progress, and delivering results.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, customer service, team-building, negotiation, relationship-building, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective spoken and written English is required for communicating with guests and performing position duties. Ability to work with POS systems and maneuver throughout restaurant, service, and warehouse areas is also required.
