Mechanical Engineer - Jr

What you will do

• Design mechanical components and assemblies for shipboard systems.
• Create detailed 3D CAD models and engineering drawings.
• Advance prototypes through testing, manufacturing, and system integration.
• Solve technical challenges with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Support equipment installation and validation on Navy surface ships.
• Identify ways AI and emerging technologies can improve engineering processes.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related STEM discipline with 2+ years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with at least 6 months of relevant experience.
• Experience using CAD software for mechanical models and engineering drawings.
• Understanding of manufacturing and fabrication processes, engineering standards, and industry best practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
