TL;DR
Medical Science Liaison, Inflammation Respiratory, Southern California and Western/Central Arizona (Inflammation Respiratory): Serving as a scientific and clinical resource for healthcare providers, opinion leaders, investigators, and population health decision makers across respiratory, allergy, ENT, and gastroenterology with an accent on evidence-based scientific exchange and patient outcomes. Focus on managing a regional field territory, supporting clinical research and pipeline activities, communicating clinical and economic data, and coordinating congress and stakeholder engagement.

Location: Field-based role covering Southern California, including Los Angeles and San Diego, and Western/Central Arizona, including Phoenix; 60–70% travel required.

Salary: 156,998.40–212,409.60 USD annual base salary, plus eligible total rewards.

What you will do

  • Serve as a primary scientific and clinical resource for opinion leaders, community healthcare providers, clinical investigators, and population health decision makers.
  • Conduct peer-to-peer scientific exchange across pulmonology, allergy, ENT, gastroenterology, and indication-expansion opportunities.
  • Communicate balanced clinical, scientific, outcomes, and economic data to healthcare stakeholders.
  • Support sponsored research, non-sponsored clinical research, investigator engagement, and pipeline activities.
  • Provide field insights to internal stakeholders and contribute to medical strategy, project teams, congresses, and speaker training.
  • Maintain compliant stakeholder engagement and complete CRM, expense, training, and other administrative responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree, or a master’s degree with 3 years of Medical Affairs experience, or a bachelor’s degree with 5 years of Medical Affairs experience.
  • Experience in a medically related field, including clinical practice, clinical research, medical research, post-doctoral training, residency, or fellowship experience.
  • Strong scientific communication, collaboration, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory and attend national and regional conferences, workshops, and company meetings.
  • Respiratory or immunology expertise and current biotech or pharmaceutical Medical Affairs or Scientific Affairs experience are preferred.
