Finance Manager, Shared Service Accounting

Location: On-site in Buccinasco, Milan, Italy; travel up to 10% to spend time at Gemba.

Base salary: €56,000–€65,000 gross annually, plus target incentive pay of 10% of base annual salary.

What you will do

• Oversee financial activities and accounting operations for legal entities in Italy, Spain, and Portugal.
• Lead the accounting team and coordinate transaction posting, payments, VAT processes, and other operational accounting activities.
• Manage the Italian ledger close, including trial balance reviews, journal entry approvals, account reconciliations, and quarterly disclosures.
• Ensure finance controls, including SOX controls, are consistently followed.
• Prepare local GAAP financial statements and reconcile local reporting with US GAAP.
• Partner with local business leaders by providing financial reports and analysis.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience in finance, with a strong focus on tax and accounting.
• Strong knowledge of Italian GAAP and Italian tax is mandatory.
• Progressive accounting or controllership experience, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Experience improving and implementing processes, supported by strong analytical skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English is required.
• Ability to work on-site in Buccinasco, Milan, and travel up to 10%.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of US GAAP.
• German language skills.
