Statutory Account Team Leader (Finance)

Location: Trezzano sul Naviglio, Milan, Italy; onsite five days per week. Up to 30 days per year of flexible work location are available.

Annual base salary: €44,000–€63,560. Incentive eligible; not eligible for sales commission.

What you will do

• Lead and support two experienced team members within the Italian statutory reporting team.
• Oversee monthly close activities, general ledgers, sub-ledgers, account reconciliations, and reporting timetables.
• Coordinate statutory financial statements, audit files, statutory audits, and required filings for three Italian legal entities.
• Support tax activities, external tax advisors, VAT, corporate income tax, transfer pricing, and quarterly US GAAP tax provisions using OneSource.
• Ensure strong internal controls, FICAP compliance, financial governance, and timely resolution of compliance issues.
• Lead process improvement, AI, automation, reporting, productivity, KPI, and continuous improvement initiatives with cross-functional stakeholders.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant with at least five years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong experience with Oracle, OneSource, and financial and tax systems.
• Good knowledge of Italian GAAP, US GAAP, and Italian tax regulations.
• Experience managing or coordinating people, with strong leadership, communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage high volumes of data accurately and work effectively under tight deadlines.
• Fluent written and spoken English is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is required.

• Practical experience using AI applications.
• Knowledge of another European language.
