What you will do

• Generate mechanistic insights into protein fragmentation pathways in biologics.
• Design and execute mass-spectrometry-based studies, including D₂O and H₂¹⁸O isotope-labeling experiments.
• Use mass spectrometry, chromatography, and structural analysis to identify fragmentation products, sites, and reaction intermediates.
• Integrate experimental results with mechanistic and statistical models to predict degradation behavior.
• Translate findings into molecule design, formulation, and storage recommendations.
• Publish research, contribute to intellectual property, and present findings at scientific conferences.

Requirements

• PhD required at the time of appointment.
• Preferred PhD field: analytical chemistry, physical chemistry, or a related life sciences discipline.
• Independent experimental design, execution, and interpretation demonstrated through a strong publication record, including first-author publications.
• Expertise in ChemDraw, mechanistic biomolecular chemistry, protein chemistry, degradation pathways, peptide mapping, and biologics characterization.
• Experience with LC-MS/MS, high-resolution mass spectrometry, and advanced protein characterization.
• Strong critical thinking, organizational, communication, and collaborative skills.
