Senior Scientist, II Biologics & Genetic Medicine - LCMS Characterization & Bioanalysis

Salary: $109,500–$208,500 base pay annually

What you will do

• Operate and maintain LC/MS instruments, including QQQ, TOF, and Orbitrap platforms, to generate high-quality experimental data.
• Perform affinity purification and LC/MS-based characterization of monoclonal and multispecific antibodies, antibody-drug conjugates, antibody-siRNA conjugates, and tLNPs.
• Develop and optimize quantitative bioanalytical methods and assays for in vivo stability, PK, TK, and PK/PD studies.
• Conduct serum aggregation, stability, lysosomal stability, and biotransformation assessments using in vitro models.
• Analyze data, maintain comprehensive electronic laboratory notebook documentation, generate reports, and present findings.
• Coordinate characterization requests across QTAS, HT-ABBA, Discovery BGM, ADC Discovery, and Conjugation teams while mentoring or supervising 2–3 scientists.

Requirements

• PhD in Biological Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or a related field with 4+ years of relevant pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry experience; alternatively, a bachelor's or master's degree with more than 10 years of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of the biophysical and biochemical properties of biologics, including aggregation, post-translational modifications, and stability.
• In-depth LC-MS methodology knowledge with a focus on protein mass spectrometry.
• Experience with biologics and ADC in vitro characterization, quantitative bioanalysis, and DMPK projects.
• Experience with Protein Metrics Byos, Mass MetaSite, Empower or Chromeleon, and GraphPad Prism.
• Strong publication record, communication skills, presentation skills, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with a broad range of mass spectrometers, including QQQ, TOF, and Orbitrap systems.
• Experience evaluating AI-enabled tools and data-driven approaches for biologics characterization and stability prediction.
