System Operations Technical Trainer or Senior System Operations Technical Trainer (Bulk Electric System)

Location: Charlotte, NC, United States; onsite at a company facility. The role may include periodic control-room support and occasional travel to operator conferences and training workshops.

What you will do

• Develop and oversee knowledge- and competency-based training for new and NERC-certified bulk electric system operators.
• Apply the ADDIE systematic approach, NERC PER Training Standards, NERC certification and continuing education requirements, and hirify.global qualification programs.
• Design training materials, operationally specific simulator scenarios, and web-based learning content.
• Operate the training simulator and evaluate learning through assessments and performance demonstrations.
• Document initial and continuing education training, including NERC CE-approved individual learning activities.
• Collaborate with system operations trainers, directors, ECC managers, and general managers to plan and improve training activities.

Requirements

• Technical degree and two years of related work experience for the System Operations Technical Trainer level.
• Technical degree and four years of related work experience for the Senior System Operations Technical Trainer level.
• High school diploma/GED may substitute for the technical degree with four years of related experience for the trainer level, or six years for the senior level.
• NERC Certified Operator required for the Senior System Operations Technical Trainer level.
• Strong communication, presentation, collaboration, conflict-management, and course-development skills.
• Must be able to work lawfully in the United States without employment-based immigration sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Experience demonstrating a commitment to training in a support role.
• Experience presenting or facilitating operator conferences and workshops.
• Knowledge of the Dispatch Training Simulator, Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
• Knowledge of hirify.global's compliance culture and demonstrated excellence at the previous career level.
