What you will do

  • Lead the Manufacturing Engineering staff and coordinate related functional groups.
  • Develop, document, implement, and continuously improve manufacturing processes, machinery, tooling, and procedures for forged automotive components and assemblies.
  • Lead process development, sourcing, launch activities, equipment utilization, capacity planning, and production timing.
  • Provide technical leadership for corrective actions, troubleshooting, production support, and systems-based performance improvements.
  • Manage CapEx budgets and enforce manufacturing engineering procedures and administrative systems.
  • Use process performance data to improve yield, runtime, quality, and safety while reducing manufacturing costs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and/or certifications.
  • At least 5 years of experience with manufacturing or machining, forging, or powdered metal processes.
  • At least 3 years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Operating knowledge of Plex and engineering software including CAD, Mastercam, CATIA, and MATLAB.
  • Ability to work onsite in North Vernon, Indiana, United States.

Nice to have

  • Experience developing assessment, training, and succession plans for manufacturing engineering teams.
