Systems Engineer (Storage)

Location: Malaysia office; primarily in-office

What you will do

• Lead technical evaluations, proof-of-concepts, and system configurations for enterprise accounts in Malaysia.
• Design tailored Pure Storage solutions based on customer business goals and infrastructure challenges.
• Prepare RFI and RFP responses and conduct technical benchmark testing.
• Present storage architectures, performance, scalability, and total cost of ownership benefits to technical and executive stakeholders.
• Partner with enterprise account managers, alliance partners, channel partners, customer leadership, and product marketing.

Requirements

• Proven enterprise technology pre-sales experience, including evaluations, RFP responses, and complex technical sales cycles.
• Deep knowledge of storage architectures, including SAN, NAS, Fibre Channel, and iSCSI.
• Experience with Linux, NFS file systems, and distributed network environments.
• Knowledge of on-premises and cloud-native architectures, enterprise networking, Ethernet, TCP/IP, LAN, and virtualization.
• Strong technical leadership, storytelling, and presentation skills for technical and executive audiences.
• Expected to work from the Malaysia office, except during paid time off, work travel, or other approved leave.
