Supervisor, Machine Shop (Aerospace Manufacturing)

Location: Long Beach, California, United States; onsite at the Long Beach location

Salary: $99,318–$140,983 USD per year

What you will do

• Lead and mentor a team of programmer machinists.
• Run daily team meetings and coordinate schedules, assignments, and job priorities.
• Work with manufacturing planners to optimize production scheduling.
• Oversee quality control, aerospace standards, safety protocols, and timely maintenance repairs.
• Optimize machining processes and collaborate with engineering and other departments on improvements.
• Identify training needs and build strong relationships with upper management.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Knowledge of machining processes, CNC equipment, machining software, and tooling.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted.
• Willingness to work evenings and/or weekends during critical mission milestones.
• Must be a U.S. person or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing due to access to U.S.-controlled information and items.

Nice to have

• Previous supervisory experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment.
• Proven team-management and leadership experience.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience analyzing data and implementing process improvements.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and collaboration skills.
