Mechanical Engineer (Mechanical Seals)

Location: Fully onsite in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA; candidates must live within commuting distance. Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

What you will do

• Review and process application requests for mechanical seal products.
• Prepare detailed drawing office requests and application instructions for layout and detail drawings.
• Use CAD to create proposal drawings and coordinate with global drawing offices.
• Select and apply standard and custom products to meet customer requirements.
• Complete engineering calculations covering heat generation, torque values, thrust loads, and flow rates.
• Support sales and service teams with proposals, troubleshooting, commissioning issues, engineering changes, and fabricated-part approvals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline; mechanical engineering is highly preferred.
• At least two years of experience with mechanical seals and/or rotating equipment is preferred.
• Working knowledge of CAD and application software; Solid Edge is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities.
• Regular onsite attendance in Baton Rouge and commuting distance from the facility are required.
