Annual salary: $169,000–$338,000 in Sunnyvale, California. A separate Bentonville, Arkansas range of $130,000–$260,000 is also listed.

What you will do

• Own architecture across native iOS and Android clients, experience services, APIs, and AI integrations.
• Define scalable patterns for dynamic, multimodal, and agentic mobile experiences.
• Establish engineering standards across Swift/SwiftUI, Kotlin/Jetpack Compose, and backend services.
• Drive reliability, performance, observability, security, and scalability across the end-to-end experience stack.
• Lead complex initiatives across mobile, backend, AI/ML, and platform teams while resolving systemic architectural constraints.
• Mentor Principal and Staff engineers and influence technical strategy across the organization.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering experience with a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• Extensive experience architecting large-scale native iOS and Android applications and supporting distributed systems.
• Deep expertise in Swift/SwiftUI and/or Kotlin/Jetpack Compose.
• Strong backend and distributed-systems expertise, including APIs, service architecture, real-time systems, and cloud platforms.
• Experience with mobile performance, reliability, application lifecycle, networking, and observability.
• Work onsite at the Sunnyvale, California location.

Nice to have

• Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, streaming, multimodal, or agentic systems.
• Master’s degree in a relevant computer science or engineering field.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility practices.
