Senior Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Atlanta, Georgia, United States

Annual base salary: $139,400–$230,000, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What you will do

• Own the technical vision and roadmap for AI agents and tooling across the software development lifecycle.
• Identify high-leverage engineering automation opportunities, build business cases, and align initiatives with enterprise modernization goals.
• Design, develop, test, document, monitor, and ship production-grade AI agents using LLM APIs and orchestration tooling.
• Define agent architecture, evaluation, observability, and reliability practices.
• Investigate and resolve high-impact production issues involving agent behavior, accuracy, and reliability.
• Establish agent engineering as a shared capability through standards, patterns, mentorship, and collaboration with engineering teams and stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 1 year shipping production systems built on LLMs or AI agents.
• Experience with modern agent frameworks such as Claude Agent SDK, LangGraph, AgentCore, or similar, and LLM APIs including Anthropic or OpenAI.
• Proficiency in tool use, retrieval, multi-step workflows, evaluation, and observability.
• Strong fundamentals in distributed systems, API design, testing, and CI/CD applied to AI-augmented systems.
• Experience defining technical direction, influencing engineering or product strategy, and making decisions with broad implications.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related STEM field, or equivalent education and work experience; advanced communication and leadership skills.
