Texas Oncology is a large community oncology provider delivering evidence-based cancer care through a network of providers and cancer treatment sites.

What you will do

  • Provide direct diagnostic and therapeutic care in outpatient, inpatient, and surgical settings.
  • Document visits and care according to Texas Oncology policies using the electronic health record.
  • Order and review diagnostic studies, prescribe medications, manage symptoms, and provide patient and family education.
  • Perform appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and coordinate referrals with other healthcare providers.
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, including participation in tumor boards, trainings, and meetings.
  • Contribute to clinical research, treatment coordination, survivorship, genetic consultations, high-risk clinics, and advanced care planning.

Requirements

  • Eligible background as a Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Clinical Nurse Specialist.
  • Current state licensure and certification appropriate to the professional track.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification is required.
  • Nurse Practitioners and Clinical Nurse Specialists require an accredited MSN and applicable program completion; Physician Assistants require an accredited PA program and current NCCPA certification.
  • Experience levels range from entry-level roles requiring 0–3 years to senior roles requiring 6 years of experience.
  • Work onsite in San Antonio, Texas.
