What you will do

• Support principal investigators with clinical trial protocol development, review, budgeting, and preparation of protocol-specific materials.
• Coordinate National Cancer Institute, pharmaceutical-sponsored, and cooperative group clinical research protocols.
• Recruit and register patients, coordinate visits and assessments, and manage study enrollment and treatment requirements.
• Collect specimens, monitor test results, document findings, and coordinate protocol data management.
• Provide protocol education to patients, families, and healthcare staff while adapting communication to patient needs.
• Monitor patient safety, regulatory compliance, quality improvement activities, and evidence-based nursing practice.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing required; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing is strongly preferred. Associate-degree nurses must complete a BSN within four years.
• Completion of the Oncology Nurse Residency Program or one year of recent Registered Nurse experience.
• Registered Nurse licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts or, as appropriate, the State of New Hampshire is required.
• American Heart Association BLS certification is required; AHA ACLS is accepted as the minimum requirement.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, clinical research, and oncology knowledge.
• Ambulatory or oncology experience is preferred; professional nursing certification is also preferred.

Nice to have

• Professional nursing certification such as OCN, BMTCN, CPHON, AOCNP, CRNI, or RN-BC.
• Ambulatory and/or oncology nursing experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
