Senior Manager: Manufacturing – Material Handling

What you will do

• Lead 24/7 GMP material handling operations supporting manufacturing across the facility.
• Develop and retain Material Handling Front-Line Managers and build a high-performing organization for facility startup and commercial operations.
• Oversee receipt, staging, movement, storage, inventory control, reconciliation, and delivery of GMP materials.
• Lead material flow optimization, staging and replenishment strategies, production scheduling support, and operational troubleshooting.
• Own the Manufacturing Material Transfer Equipment program, including lifecycle management, qualification, maintenance coordination, and readiness.
• Lead deviation investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Doctorate with 2 years of Manufacturing and Operations experience; or a master’s degree with 6 years; bachelor’s degree with 8 years; associate’s degree with 10 years; or high school diploma/GED with 12 years.
• At least 2 years of managerial experience directly managing people or leading teams, projects, programs, or resource allocation.
• Experience supporting GMP manufacturing operations, preferably in biologics or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Experience with GMP material handling, manufacturing logistics, inventory management, or warehouse operations supporting manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of GMP material management, inventory control, material traceability, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP, MES, electronic batch records, barcode, RFID, or equivalent electronic inventory management systems.
• Experience implementing Operational Excellence, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience partnering with Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Process Development, and Manufacturing organizations.
• Experience developing inclusive, accountable, and collaborative high-performing teams.
