Manager, Advanced Practice Providers (Oncology)

Location: Norfolk, Virginia, United States; travel between practice locations is required.

What you will do

• Support strategic planning and policy development for the advanced practice provider workgroup.
• Manage APP operations, including utilization, productivity, scheduling, workload distribution, and resource allocation.
• Oversee clinical performance, quality metrics, best practices, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Lead APP recruitment, onboarding, preceptor, mentorship, orientation, and continuing education programs.
• Conduct site visits, performance reviews, and professional development activities.
• Collaborate with practice administrators, physicians, leadership, organizational committees, and community partners.

Requirements

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner studies.
• Current APP licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is required.
• At least five years of healthcare experience.
• Strong verbal, written, organizational, multitasking, and computer skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
• Willingness to travel between practice locations is required.

Nice to have

• Experience as an APP in community oncology or a related field.
• Hematology/oncology experience.
• At least one year of managerial experience.
