Engineer I, Mechanical Design (Hydraulics)

What you will do

• Design and provide technical support for servo valves, hydraulic actuators, hydraulic components, and electric actuators.
• Clarify product design specifications with customers and sales teams.
• Propose and design solutions based on customer needs and emerging technologies.
• Lead product development and design projects, including product evaluation testing and technical reporting.
• Provide manufacturing information and support to operations, including designing manufacturing and test equipment.
• Investigate customer and manufacturing defects and work toward technical resolution with global colleagues.

Requirements

• Experience or capability in mechanical and hydraulic product design.
• Ability to work with engineering tools, technical documentation, and project management processes.
• Ability to communicate with customers, sales teams, operations departments, and global engineering colleagues.
• Ability to conduct product evaluation testing and compile technical reports.
• Availability to work in a hybrid arrangement in Hiratsuka, Japan.
