Senior Project Manager (Border Management): Managing complex IT and border management projects from bidding and inception through closure with an accent on project planning, change control, risk mitigation, and customer delivery. Location: Canberra, Australia; hybrid work with up to 2 days per week from home

What you will do
- Manage multiple projects and small programs across their full life cycle, from bidding and inception through closure.
- Build business cases, capacity plans, resource plans, communications strategies, and project schedules.
- Control scope and change, manage risks and issues, track progress, and take corrective action when plans deviate.
- Coordinate local and remote project teams while maintaining alignment across stakeholders, leadership, and customers.
- Work directly with customers to ensure project goals and objectives are delivered to their satisfaction.
- Prepare status reports, variance reports, Steering Committee updates, change requests, and lessons learned documentation.
Requirements
- Track record of managing multiple projects and small programs, including budgets, complexity, and deliverables in a commercial environment.
- Experience presenting to customers and leadership at different organizational levels.
- Experience with an IT solutions provider or border management solutions provider.
- Knowledge of border management systems and end-to-end IT systems delivery.
- University degree or equivalent, formal project management training, and PMP certification.
