Sr. Project Manager, Hydrogen Systems

Location: Brisbane, Australia; frequent travel to customer sites across Australia, up to 80% of the time

What you will do

• Lead engineering, construction, installation, and commissioning projects for hydrogen systems at customer locations.
• Manage project execution plans, schedules, costs, risks, margins, quality, and customer expectations.
• Coordinate internal engineering teams, external service providers, EPCMs, permitting agencies, suppliers, contractors, commissioning teams, and after-sales service.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance on project sites and ensure suppliers and contractors meet hirify.global standards.
• Resolve project roadblocks and maintain delivery against committed timelines and specifications.
• Mentor, advise, and train other Project Managers while supporting the Director of H2 Projects with project management processes and tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical, electrical, process, or another applicable engineering field.
• At least 10 years of experience in project-based engineering functions, with a proven record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Experience with plant project management across engineering, procurement, production, construction, installation, and commissioning.
• Knowledge of permitting processes, local Pressure and Machinery directives, certification procedures, and related documentation requirements in Australia.
• Strong project management, analytical, communication, stakeholder management, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment and travel frequently to customer sites across Australia.

Nice to have

• PMP or IPMA certification.
• Background in hydrogen, fuel cells, chemical or gas industries, cryogenic systems, high-pressure systems, gas processing, dispensing equipment, oil and gas, CNG, LNG, logistics, or material handling.
• Experience with MS Project or a similar project management tool.
