Staff Software Engineer/ Tribe Lead - Compliance Team (TypeScript/Node.js)

What you will do

• Own squad-level engineering maturity, technical execution, and high-quality delivery.
• Decompose complex requirements and lead system architecture and technical design decisions.
• Act as the final reviewer for code and architecture within the squad.
• Mentor and coach individual contributors through code-level feedback, pair programming, structured reviews, and technical guidance.
• Establish engineering standards for code review, testing, and system predictability.
• Partner with the Engineering Manager and senior technical leaders on strategy, hiring loops, interviews, and performance reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience focused on scalable system design and development.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages and modern frameworks, including TypeScript, JavaScript, Svelte, SvelteKit, or comparable server-side rendering frameworks.
• Strong experience with Node.js, REST APIs, Kubernetes, design patterns, WebSockets, Pub/Sub, and distributed systems.
• Experience shipping production-grade systems, navigating complex codebases, managing squad execution, and resolving technical dependencies.
• Excellent communication skills and experience mentoring mid-level to senior engineers.

• Experience using AI-assisted development tooling through governed prompts, context packages, and human review.
