Senior Research Manager (AI)

Location: United States; remote, hybrid, or in-office options available. The role bridges East Coast and Europe time zones.

Salary: $101,000–$185,100 USD annually

What you will do

• Drive major initiatives with the AI Director and the AI R&D team.
• Manage cross-functional AI projects, balancing resources, scope, timelines, and delivery risks.
• Build and support cohesive, high-performing teams that can self-organize around clear goals.
• Identify bottlenecks, remove blockers, and improve incremental delivery.
• Improve project planning, scoping, scheduling, roadmaps, requirements gathering, and production processes.
• Maintain relationships with external partners and incorporate internal feedback into processes and approaches.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software project management experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Experience with the full cycle of an AI product, AI research, or game development.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams, preferably in an Agile environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication, emotional intelligence, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Experience with project management tools such as Hansoft, Jira, Confluence, and Office applications.
• Ability to work across East Coast and Europe time zones and maintain composure while coordinating multiple teams.

Nice to have

• Deep understanding of the AI and gaming industries.
• Strong knowledge of the Atlassian suite, including Jira and Confluence.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
