Product Manager III (Embedded Systems)

Location: Irvine, California, United States

Salary: $108,000–$216,000 annual for Irvine; additional salary ranges are listed for Denver, San Francisco, and Dallas. Performance bonuses and stock may also apply.

What you will do

• Define the vision, strategy, roadmap, requirements, technical specifications, and success metrics for the embedded ACR client platform.
• Partner with embedded engineers and platform architects to modernize the ACR architecture and underlying technologies.
• Balance software performance, memory footprint, CPU and power consumption, hardware capabilities, bill of materials, release schedules, and business objectives.
• Identify opportunities involving media processing frameworks, AI, machine learning, and new architectural approaches.
• Manage platform health, performance, scalability, data-quality, and business metrics.
• Coordinate execution across embedded engineering, data engineering, data science, QA, program management, business teams, chipset vendors, and platform partners.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of product management experience with a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or 5 years of product management or related experience.
• Experience leading highly technical platform, embedded software, consumer electronics, or firmware-based products.
• Strong understanding of embedded systems, Embedded Linux, firmware integrations, software architecture, device performance, memory usage, CPU utilization, and product cost.
• Experience with FFMPEG, GStreamer, video pipelines, or similar media processing technologies.
• Knowledge of SQL, REST APIs, and software development concepts; C or C++ experience is desirable.
• Experience shipping complex products and creating technical requirements, business cases, product artifacts, and executive communications.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in computer science, engineering, business administration, or a related field.
• Experience with consumer-facing, large-scale, highly complex B2B/C products.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility best practices.
