What you will do

• Define and execute the enterprise safety and operational risk strategy aligned with long-term business objectives.
• Transform and modernize global EHS programs, governance frameworks, safety management systems, and risk practices.
• Lead critical safety programs covering occupational safety, serious injury and fatality prevention, contractor safety, electrical and machine safety, confined space, lockout/tagout, working at heights, ergonomics, and operational learning.
• Integrate AI, predictive analytics, automation, dashboards, and digital technologies into safety and risk management.
• Embed risk management across capital projects, engineering, manufacturing, R&D, and business planning.
• Build organizational capability, lead change management, develop leaders, and strengthen cross-functional safety culture and resilience.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree and 5 years of experience leading safety and risk transformation; or master’s degree and 9 years; or bachelor’s degree and 11 years.
• At least 5 years of direct people management or leadership experience directing teams, projects, programs, or resources.
• Experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical manufacturing, engineering, or another regulated industry.
• Expertise in enterprise risk management, organizational resilience, operational excellence, and complex organizational transformation.
• Experience with AI, advanced analytics, digital modernization, executive influence, and change leadership.
• Exceptional strategic thinking, executive communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

• Experience benchmarking biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or high-reliability organizations.
• Strong systems-thinking mindset and business acumen for balancing risk, innovation, and execution.
