Sr Maintenance Technician - Blow Mold

Location: Temple, Texas, United States; onsite manufacturing environment

What you will do

• Troubleshoot and repair production, facility, and auxiliary equipment to maintain uptime.
• Act as a subject matter expert in blow molding and support equipment such as fillers, cappers, labelers, conveyors, palletizers, and stretch wrappers.
• Lead equipment overhauls, continuous improvement projects, upgrades, and recurring-problem resolution with plant leadership.
• Perform root cause analysis and use preventive and predictive maintenance processes to improve reliability and throughput.
• Create troubleshooting SOPs, upload them to the BDA system, and transfer technical knowledge to operators, mechanics, supervisors, and maintenance staff.
• Provide required on-call support and maintain safe, predictable equipment and facility operation.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment and 6 years of experience in the position or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 4 years of experience managing people or projects.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and process instrumentation schematics.
• Experience with precision measuring equipment, shop equipment, power tools, and manufacturing maintenance procedures.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, maintain regular attendance, provide on-call availability, and supply a personal toolbox and basic tools.

Nice to have

• Experience in blow molding, injection molding, packaging, or beverage manufacturing.
• Experience with Krones, Husky, Sidel, or other packaging and bottling equipment.
• Experience leading and developing others, creating continuous improvement initiatives, and performing fabrication including MIG, TIG, or stick welding.
• Experience with 480VAC and 24VDC systems, variable frequency drives, servo motors and controllers, PLC input/output cards, safety modules, and industrial communication systems.
• Associate degree in manufacturing, mechatronics, industrial manufacturing, automation, or a related field; 10 or more years of relevant experience is preferred.
