Senior Maintenance Supervisor (Manufacturing)

Location: Aurora, Illinois, United States; onsite at the Aurora facility

Salary: $91,000–$114,000 per year, plus annual bonus eligibility

What you will do

• Supervise maintenance technicians and electricians across three shifts, including staffing, onboarding, training, payroll, attendance, coaching, and development planning.
• Develop and publish weekly and monthly schedules covering preventive maintenance, corrective work orders, and projects.
• Review, prioritize, assign, and monitor the maintenance backlog, escalating overdue work as needed.
• Coordinate parts kitting, tools, documentation, and downtime windows with production, operations, quality, and engineering teams.
• Own maintenance KPIs including PM completion, OEE, spare-parts inventory, and budget performance.
• Lead safety, 5S, ergonomics, sustainability, process-efficiency, and other continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• At least five years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment; chemical or specialty materials experience is preferred.
• Experience with maintenance planning, scheduling, job plans, work order management, and backlog control.
• Strong proficiency with SAP-PM and Ariba; Microsoft Office proficiency and familiarity with maintenance KPI reporting.
• Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance, continuous improvement, and manufacturing EHS regulations.
• Leadership, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with flexibility to respond to off-shift operational needs.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and work in a chemical manufacturing environment.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, mechanical, electrical, or a related engineering field.
• Experience with Reliance ETQ.
• Six Sigma experience.
