Avionics Test Technician (Aerospace)

Location: Long Beach, California, United States; onsite

What you will do

• Maintain calibration tracking for avionics test equipment and coordinate recalibration with Metrology.
• Transfer and kit materials and components for test system builds.
• Maintain consumable component stock levels to support manufacturing schedules.
• Build and operate test systems for development, acceptance, qualification, and investigative test campaigns.
• Apply electrical safety and standard industry ESD practices while supporting an efficient test environment.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of electrical principles, wiring concepts, and electrical safety.
• At least 1 year of experience in manufacturing, testing, operations, aerospace, or a related field.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace.
• High School Diploma or equivalency certificate.
• Must be a U.S. person under U.S. export-control rules or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing.
• Willingness to work overtime or weekends for critical mission milestones and lift up to 25 lbs unassisted.

Nice to have

• Aerospace, aviation, military, or other high-reliability operating environment experience.
• Metrology experience and knowledge of aerospace testing standards such as SMC-S-016.
• At least 2 years of experience using programmable power supplies, DMMs, oscilloscopes, or similar electronics equipment.
• Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and diverse computer software applications.
