ESS Terminal Senior Systems Engineer

Location: On-site in El Segundo, California, United States, at a secure facility

Salary: $162,000–$241,500 per year

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain complex infrastructure, platform, and software systems supporting national leadership capabilities.
• Define and analyze system requirements for protected SATCOM terminals and related ground and airborne systems.
• Oversee requirements development, delivery, implementation, integration, verification, and validation.
• Collaborate with SE&I team members, contractors, government civilians, outside organizations, and the U.S. Space Force.
• Lead technical projects and contribute to engineering best practices and documentation.
• Support acquisition management and next-generation Military Satellite Communications systems for Space Systems Command.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Current Secret clearance is required; the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science, or a related technical field.
• At least 12 years of engineering experience, including 5 or more years in systems engineering.
• Experience with requirements or Interface Control Document development and management, test planning, integration, verification, and validation.
• Experience with MILSATCOM systems, protected terminals, ground or airborne systems, and military or Department of Defense personnel.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a technical field.
• Experience with AEHF, PTS, EPS, WGS, or FAB-T terminal programs.
• Agile development and collaboration tools, including Jira and Confluence.
• Professional certification such as PMP, INCOSE CSEP, or INCOSE ESEP.
