Paint Technician Supervisor - 2nd Shift (Industrial Painting)

Location: Fredericksburg, VA, United States; onsite, 2nd shift

Manufacturing company with paint department production operations.

What you will do

• Supervise and support paint department employees during the assigned shift.
• Coordinate workflow and production schedules to meet deadlines.
• Set up, operate, clean, and maintain spray equipment, including air-assisted airless, HVLP, pressure pots, and cup guns.
• Perform and support sanding, masking, scuffing, puttying, spackling, painting, and other preparation work.
• Inspect finished products and monitor application techniques to ensure consistent quality and finish.
• Maintain paint inventory, complete production documentation, and collaborate with other departments on safety, quality, and efficiency improvements.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of commercial or industrial painting experience.
• At least 6 months of spray application experience.
• Strong knowledge of paint preparation, application, and finishing techniques.
• Ability to wear a respirator and pass fit-testing requirements; familiarity with SDS/MSDS sheets and safety standards.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to train and develop team members.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
